Release Your Inner Funk. Move With Purpose.
Elmer Martinez (ElmStreet) is a dancer, DJ, educator, and cultural organizer from Lowell, MA whose work bridges Hip-Hop, House, Funk styles, and afro-diasporic social dance cultures. Trained in both the studio and the underground club scenes of Boston and New York, he brings nearly two decades of experience to every session.
Through Rebirth Dance Training, Elmer creates spaces where dancers build groove, confidence, and community.
Why Train With ElmStreet?
Real Culture
Elmer teaches from lived experience within Hip-Hop and club dance communities — not just studio choreography.
Underground + Professional Experience
His work spans underground dance scenes and professional stages, including collaborations with organizations like National Choreography Month, Dance Complex Boston as well as colleges, studios and events across the east coast.
Music First Approach
As a DJ and musician, Elmer emphasizes musicality, groove, and rhythm, helping dancers truly connect with the music.
Freestyle Development
Students build confidence in improvisation — one of the most important skills in street and club dance culture.
Community Focused
Classes prioritize cyphers, shared learning, and supportive community energy.
Mind + Body Training
Sessions include mindfulness practices that help dancers unlock creativity, reduce tension, and move with intention.
Rebirth Dance Training
These classes are designed for dancers who want to move with more freedom, musicality, and confidence.
Led by Elmer Martinez (ElmStreet), sessions combine foundations from Breaking, House, Afro-Latin, Hip-Hop, Locking, Funk styles, and club freestyle culture with exercises that develop rhythm, groove, and self-expression.
Each class includes:
• Groove and musicality training
• Foundations from club and street dance styles
• Freestyle development and cypher practice
• Cultural and historical context behind the movement
• Mindfulness and body awareness practices
Whether you're new to dance or experienced and looking to expand your freestyle, these classes focus on helping you find your own voice in movement.
The goal is simple:
Less choreography. More connection to the music. More freedom in your body.
